Friday Fictioneers

Sorry this is a little late! I’ve been so busy that’s it’s been hard to get to my computer! Haven’t had much time to work on it, but here’s my short!

“This is fun. I’m glad we decided to try something new.” George sipped his Earl Grey.

Lydia smiled. “Gets the adrenaline pumping don’t it?” She scooted her saucer squarely beneath her mug, a light breeze tickling her cheeks.

“Hey you! You can’t be up there!” A couple of guards began to ascend a nearby ladder.

George sighed. “Shall we go?”

Tucking their tea cups into her purse, Lydia nodded. “Best not to let them catch us.”

They moved easily along the narrow foothold, jumping quickly to the adjacent roof, melting into the cityscape before the guards even gained the landing.

  1. I can see this as a sport in a sci-fi movie, like pop-up and hidden restaurants and the sport whose name I can think of where people go over all sorts of obstacles as they go to their destination.

  2. i gotta say, it’s a pretty awesome place to have tea ^^ would love to try something as crazy as that. great story 🙂

  3. Love the idea of taking tea at height, especially Earl Grey. And can just see your characters pouncing into the distance with the guards lumbering behind.
